E Ziua Femeii azi. Ziua in care multi dintre noi incearca sa defineasca aceasta minunata fiinta. De ce este ea speciala? „Pentru ca poti sa o definesti in atat de multe feluri”, mi-am spus. Saptamana aceasta am avut o surpriza foarte placuta, tot in legatura cu feminitatea. Am castigat in cadrul Galei Femeilor de Succes premiul pentru „Cea mai mondena femeie”. Si ce altceva mai frumos mi-as fi putut dori dupa peste zece ani de evenimente, prezentari si munca sustinuta in cariera mea? Profit de ocazie sa le multumesc tuturor care m-au sustinut!

Am invatat de la mama mea ca unei femei ii sta bine sa fie sofisticata, misterioasa si eleganta. Dar cum se poate intampla acest lucru?

O femeie adevarata va fi mereu sigura pe ea. Si chiar si atunci cand va suferi, va zambi astfel incat cei din jur sa nu isi dea seama ce furtuna e in sufletul ei.

Atunci cand isi va alege tinuta, o femeie se va ghida in primul si in primul rand dupa propriul fel de a fi. Abia apoi vin tendintele, revistele de moda si sfaturile prietenei celei mai bune. In cazul femeilor sofisticate, este esential ca imbracamintea sa reflecte personalitatea.

Niciodata. Atunci cand cineva incearca sa te faca sa te simti mica, isi proiecteaza pur si simplu frustrarea prin acest gest. Nu uita ca lucrurile pe care altii le spun la adresa ta vorbesc mai mult despre ei insisi decat despre tine.

Un simplu „multumesc” poate fi cea mai eleganta metoda de a-ti arata recunostinta fata de cineva care tocmai ti-a spus ca esti frumoasa. Sau ca iti sta bine in bluza pe care o porti astazi. Nu e cazul sa te afunzi in afirmatii neinspirate precum „Vai, serios? Mie nu mi se pare ca imi sta prea bine … ”

O femeie nu ii va putea face fericiti pe cei din jurul ei cat timp nu este fericita cu ea insasi. Invata sa iubesti singuratatea si gaseste forme de a te intelege pe tine insati. Citeste, petrece timp in aer liber, programeaza-te la o sedinta foto, fa orice pentru a te simti bine in propria ta piele!

Eu obisnuiesc sa imi „dedic” ocazional mici cadouri si sa ma mentin astfel vesela si plina de viata. Uneori, imi cumpar un buchet de flori care sa-mi coloreze sufrageria. Alteori, o iau intr-o excursie neasteptata pe mama mea. Sau incerc ceva neobisnuit si spectaculos la o sedinta foto. Ceea ce am facut si de data aceasta.

Buzele in nuante de burgundy  emana senzualitate si feminitate. Privirea a fost intensificata cu un mix de tonuri cenusii si pamantii, iar pudra aplicata pe pometi confera o doza de dramatism lookului final.  Nu pot decat sa ii fiu recunoscatoare lui Beatrix Madi, make-up artist, pentru ca m-a facut sa ma simt in anii 20. 🙂

Coafura are la mijloc o adevarata capodopera. Intregul accesoriu care se vede in fotografii e compus din zeci de agrafe, aplicate bucata cu bucata, cu o doza uriasa de rabdare si maiestrie. Multumesc, Marius!

Today is Women’s Day. It’s the day in which we try to define this wonderful being. Why is she special? `Because you can define her in so many ways`, I said to myself. This week I had a wonderful surprise, which is also related to femininity. I won the prize for `The most Modern Woman` at the Gala of Succesful Women. What else could I desire after so many years of shows, presentations and hard work? And I want to thank all of you for the support!

I learned from my mother that a woman has to be sophisticated, mysterious and and elegant. But how can this happen?

Rule no. 1: Walk like you know where you’re going. Always.

A real woman trusts herself. And even when she suffers, she’ll smile, so that people surrounding her won’t know that a storm is hiding inside her soul.

Rule no. 2: Use your clothes to show your personality

A sophisticated woman will design her outfit after analyzing her own self. Only then will she also take into account the trends, the glossy magazines and the pieces of advice her best friends gave her.  It is essential that your outfit reflects your personality.

Rule no. 3: Don’t allow anyone make you feel small

Never. When someone is trying to make you feel small, they are just trying to project their frustrations. When people are saying things about you, they are actually talking about themselves. Don’t let them hurt you.

Rule no. 4: Learn how to respond to compliments

A simple `Thank you` will be enough to show your appreciation for someone who has just told you that you are beautiful.  You should accept compliments and give up on uninspired excuses like `Oh, I’m not sure if I look that good`.

Rule no. 5: Make time for yourself

A woman can’t make others happy as long as she’s not happy with herself. Learn to love loneliness and find ways of making yourself happy. Read, spend time in nature, do photo shootings. Make whatever you wish in order to feel good!

I like to surprise myself with little gifts. I buy myself flowers to color my living room, I go on unexpected trips with my Mom and I sometimes plan photo shootings with a `wow` effect. Just like the one I’ll show you today.

The lips in burgundy tones speak for sensuality and femininity. The eyes were painted in brown and smokey tones, whereas the color of the cheeks is responsible for the dramatism of the final look. I am grateful to Beatrix Madi for making me feel like in the 1920s.

The accessory from my hair is entirely handmade. Thank you, Marius, for your the patience and the talent you put into this work-of-art!

Ma bucur sa vad ca primavara se apropie cu pasi repezi. Se simte in aer, in ghioceii care incep sa rasara si pana si in … parul meu 🙂 Apropo, melodia de mai sus (The Lumineers – Flowers in your hair) se potriveste de minune, nu-i asa? 😉

Eu consider sosirea noului sezon o adevarata sarbatoare si de aceea am considerat de cuviinta sa celebram in stil mare, printr-o sedinta foto. Cromatica este in ton cu accentele primaverii – am ales culori vesele, vii, in combinatii indraznete.

In ceea ce priveste parul, cuvantul-cheie este impletitura! Pentru ca impletiturile ne amintesc de primavara si de vara, de plimbarile lungi pe plaja si de romantismul suvitelor lasate in voia vantului. Accesorizarea look-ului a constat in aplicarea „buchetului” de flori de-a lungul impletiturii – a rezultat o coronita diafana care m-a facut sa ma simt Zana Primaverii 🙂

Machiajul se caracterizeaza prin linii simple, usor hasurate, elementul principal fiind nuanta intens saturata de la nivelul buzelor: roz fuchsia. Confera intregului look un aer vesel si primavaratic. Nuantele alese pentru ochi sunt tonuri calde de auriu, ciocolatiu si putin negru in cazul eyeliner-ului. La nivelul pometelui regasim o evidentiere usoara, care confera intregului chip prospetime si naturalete. 

Sa profitam, asadar, de ultimele zile de februarie si sa ne bucuram de sosirea primaverii! Spring is in the (h)air!

I’m glad that spring is coming soon! I can feel it in the air, in the snowdrops that are beginning to appear and even  … in my hair 🙂 By the way, the song above (The Lumineers – Flowers in Your Hair) is perfect, isn’t it? 😉

I believe that the coming of the new season is a true celebration. That is why I’ve decided to celebrate in a big way – through a photo shooting. The colours are appropiate for the theme – they are lively, colourful tones.

Braids are the key-concept of the time! They remind me of spring and summer, of the long walks on the beach and the romantism of delicate wind running through the hair … We accesorized the look with a `bouquet` of flowers that were applied around the braid and made me feel like a true Spring Fairy 🙂

The make-up was characterized by simple lines, and the central element was the strong colour of the lips: fuchsia. The entire look was cheerful and `springish`. The eye-zone had golden and chocolate highlights, whereas the eyeliner was black. The cheeks were freshly and naturally highlighted.

I say we should make use of the last February days and be glad that spring is coming soon! It is already in the (h)air!
