Anul acesta mi-am petrecut ziua de nastere la Roma. Un oras incarcat cu istorie si emotie, un loc care mi-a reamintit cat de norocosi suntem sa traim inconjurati de atat de multe frumuseti. Capitala italiana impresioneaza atat prin arhitectura impozanta, cat si prin detaliile sale cuceritoare – eleganta oamenilor de pe strada, obiectele de artizanat, amestecul de nou si vechi, de modern si traditional …

This year I have spent my birthday at Rome. A town full of history and emotion, a place that reminded me how lucky we are to be surrounded by so many beauties. The Italian capital impresses its visitors both through the beautiful architecture and the details – the elegance of people on the street, the handmade objects, the mix of old and new, of modernity and tradition … 

Dupa ce am spus „Buongiorno, Roma!” de pe acest balcon cochet, am devenit un turist constiincios care a observat orasul din mai multe perspective – pot spune ca arta, moda si aspectul culinar s-au numarat printre factorii care m-au calauzit de aceasta data.

After I said „Buongiorno, Roma!” from this stylish balcony, I became a diligent tourist that observed the town from many perspectives – I can say that art, fashion and food were some of the aspects that governed my trip this time. 

Atunci cand calatoresti si ai ocazia de a lua masa intr-un restaurant, mi se pare esential sa iesi din zona de confort si sa incerci cel putin un preparat specific locului … eu am ales Zuppa di zucchine e gamberi & Argentinian Steak (m-am delectat cu ele la Cafè Veneto). 

When you are travelling and you have the chance to eat in a restaurant, I think it is essential to test some local dishes … I chose Zuppa di zucchine e gamberi & Argentinian Steak (at Cafè Veneto).

Nici fructele de mare nu au lipsit din meniu …

Ma simt binecuvantata ca am avut sansa sa petrec cateva zile intr-o destinatie pe masura – insulele Maldive. Dincolo de mancarurile exotice, tratamentele SPA, cinele cu dichis si dansurile efervescente, cel mai de pret lucru pe care mi l-a oferit acest loc deosebit a fost faptul ca mi-a reamintit ceva foarte important – noi, oamenii, am complicat fericirea. Dumnezeu ne-a lasat Paradisul si noi am tinut sa-l personalizam cu exagerare. Noroc ca mai exista cai de acces catre sublimul neatins … Gata, va las cu fotografiile! Credeti-ma, vorbesc de la sine!

I feel blessed to have had the chance to spend some wonderful days in a wonderful destination – the Maldives. Aside from exotic food, SPA therapies, exquisite dinners and effervescent dances, this place has reminded me of something very important – we, humans, have complicated happiness. God has given Paradise to us and we personalized it exaggeratedly. Luckily, there are still some ways to escape into the untouched, sublime beauty … Now I’ll let you enjoy the photos! Believe me, they speak for themselves!
