Am primit acum cateva saptamani un cadou de la Elemental, format din doua produse: apa de trandafiri si uleiul de argan. Sunt foarte incantata de faptul ca unii dintre cei mai importanti producatori de cosmetice naturale din tara provin din Oradea, orasul meu natal 🙂 Stiati acest lucru?

Motivul pentru care am asteptat o perioada inainte de a scrie testimonialul este simplu – am vrut sa testez produsele, sa vad daca functioneaza cu adevarat. Lucru de care te poti convinge dupa ce trece o anumita perioada de timp – nu pot confirma eficienta unei creme sau a unui  ulei dupa o singura aplicare. Iar ceea ce va pot promite este ca niciodata nu voi lauda un produs in care nu cred 😉

Revenind la produse … calitatea lor principala este versatilitatea! Atat apa de trandafiri, cat si uleiul de argan pot avea multiple intrebuintari. Mie imi place sa inmoi discuri demachiante in apa de trandafiri si sa le tin pe ochii inchisi cateva minute, ascultand muzica relaxanta in fundal – asa reusesc sa scap de cearcane si sa imi improspatez pielea din jurul ochilor, care este foarte sensibila. Am incetat sa mai cumpar demachiant din comert si aleg sa prepar in schimb unul homemade, din apa de trandafiri si ulei de migdale dulci, achizitionat tot de la Elemental (link aici). Dureaza maxim doua minute si macar ai siguranta ca nu incarci tenul cu niciun fel de chimicale!

In ceea ce priveste uleiul de argan, pot sa spun ca il ador! Nu cred ca exista ceva mai hidratant. De fiecare data cand il aplic seara pe ten (din pacate, uit destul de des sa fac acest lucru, asa ca mi-am pus alarma de la telefon sa-mi aminteasca 🙂 ), ma trezesc cu o piele catifelata. Imi vine tot timpul sa pun mana pe ten, atat de fin devine in urma aplicarii uleiului de argan! Acelasi produs il folosesc si pentru par – prin prisma meseriei mele sunt obligata sa ma coafez excesiv, iar suvitele mele nu sunt cele mai fericite. Asa ca le rasfat de cate ori am ocazia cu ulei de argan aplicat in special pe varfuri. Evit radacinile ca sa nu ma aleg cu un aspect inestetic. Dar pentru varfuri este excelent!

Nu stiu cum sunteti voi, dar eu, atunci cand folosesc produse cosmetice 100% naturale, am o senzatie foarte placuta, ca si cum m-as intoarce in timp. Imi amintesc de remediile mamei si ale bunicii, ba mai mult, gandul imi zboara uneori la printesele care acum cateva decenii sau secole isi preparau singure produsele de infrumusetare! Iti da un sentiment de implinire si sa nu vorbim de avantajele financiare – cu siguranta veti reusi sa economisiti sume semnificative de bani adoptand produsele organice!

A few weeks ago I received a gift from Elemental. It consisted of two products – rose water and argan oil. I am very excited that one of the most important natural cosmetics producers stems from my hometown – Oradea! 🙂 Did you know that? 

The reason I waited some time before writing my review is simple – I wanted to test the products for real. You cannot tell if a product is efficient after applying it one single time. You need at least some good weeks in order to do that. And I can assure that I will never ever promote a product in which I don’t believe 😉

About the products … their main quality is versatility! They can be used in multiple ways. For instance, I like to soak cotton discs in rose water and then apply them for a few minutes on closed eyes … this is how I manage to get rid of puffy eyes and other signs of tiredness. I also gave up on buying make-up remover. I now prefer to prepare it myself, by mixing rose water and sweet almond oil, which I also bought from Elemental! It does not take you more than two minutes and at least you know for sure that you won’t bother your face with chemicals. 

Regarding argan oil, all I can say is that I absolutely adore it! I don’t think that a more hydrating lotion exists! Every time I apply it before sleep (unfortunately, I forget pretty often to do that, but I found a solution – my alarm clock 🙂 ), my skin looks so fine in the morning! I’m always tempted to touch my face because it gets so silky … I also use argan oil for my hair. However, I avoid the roots because I don’t want an oily aspect. Because of my job I am forced to style my hair excessively and I’m not so happy about it. That’s why it needs extra-pampering and argan oil is the perfect way to do that! 

I don’t know about you, but when I use 100% natural cosmetic products, I feel like going back in time. They remind me about the remedies of my mother, of my grandmother and of the princesses that used to prepare their own products decades or centuries ago. You’ll also be able to save from money – natural cosmetic products are way cheaper than the commercial ones 😉

Nu-mi vine sa cred ca vara este deja pe sfarsite. Parca ieri era inceputul primaverii si va scriam ca abia astept sa scot din garderoba gecile groase. Si iata ca imediat trebuie sa le pun la loc … dar sa lasam nostalgia, pentru ca zilele calde inca nu s-au terminat! 🙂 Si, din fericire, soarele mi-a dat voie sa port rochita diafana si comoda pe care am primit-o in dar de la Prive Boutique!

Apropo, va recomand cu caldura sa aruncati o privire in magazinul online www.priveboutique.net! Veti gasi fel de fel de rochii deosebite, topuri, fuste, colanti, pantaloni si hamuri foarte speciale, ideale pentru crearea iluziei de talie-de-viespe 😉 Imi plac mult calitatea si finetea materialelor, dar mai ales faptul ca modelele de haine sunt cu totul aparte si nu le regasesc in colectiile altor lanturi de magazine. Stiti si voi, noua, fetelor, ne place sa fim unice!

Sa va povestesc putin despre ziua de shooting … intai, am poposit la The Beauty Advisor si am hotarat de comun acord cu Maria (hairstylistul meu) ca buclele tip „valuri” ar fi alegerea cea mai potrivita, avand in vedere ca trendul principal in aceasta perioada este naturaletea. In plus, nu vad o modalitate mai frumoasa de a scoate in evidenta un par lung si sanatos. Iar impreuna cu Krisztina (make-up artist) am gandit conceptul de machiaj – culori pamantii in zona ochilor, putin tus negru si accente violet in partea inferioara a pleoapelor. O alegere foarte flatanta pentru ochii mei verzui-caprui.

Dupa aceste pregatiri, am pornit cu Cosmin Danut (fotograful al carui portofoliu il puteti vedea aici) la Hanul Pescarilor, una dintre cele mai frumoase locatii ale zonei in care m-am nascut. Inca de cand am fost prima oara aici, m-au cucerit atmosfera rustica si lacul linistit din imprejurimi. Iar cu aceasta priveliste mi-a venit instant cheful de pozat 🙂 Asa ca ramane sa va las in compania fotografiilor care sper sa va placa! Astept parerile voastre la sectiunea „Comments”!

I can’t believe summer has almost come to an end! I feel like the beginning of spring was only yesterday, when I told you that I can’t wait to get winter clothes out of my wardrobe! And it looks like I have to put them back soon … but let’s leave nostalgic feelings alone, there are still a few hot days left! And the sun was kind enough to let me wear this beautiful, comfortable dress I received as a gift from Prive Boutique!

But let me tell you some things about my shooting day. First, I went to The Beauty Advisor, where, together with Maria (my hairstylist), we decided that wavy curls would be the best option. Especially now, when natural looks are so appreciated! And I can’t see a more beautiful way of highlighting a long and healthy hair …

Then, Krisztina (make-up artist) and I, thought about the make-up concept. We picked colours of the Earth, which flatter my hazel-like eyes. We completed the look with a black eyeliner and some violet accents in the lower lid. 

Finally, Cosmin Danut (the photographer whose portfolio you can see here) accompanied me to Hanul Pescarilor, one of the most beautiful locations near my hometown. From the first time I was here I was fascinated by the cozy atmosphere and the splendid lake in this area. So the view was enough to cheer me up and get me in the posing-mood! 🙂 I’ll let you see the results of the shooting and do not forget to leave me comments with your opinion!

Pe mine m-au fascinat bijuteriile dintotdeauna. Daca hainele si pantofii se degradeaza in timp, oricat de mare grija ai avea de ele, bijuteriile parca se infrumuseteaza odata ce anii isi lasa amprenta pe ele. De aceea, tin mult la accesoriile deosebite, care prin infatisarea lor iti soptesc parca o poveste. Mi s-a acrit deja de cate ori am auzit expresia „o femeie adevarata”.

Va reamintesc de definitia cuvantului „adevarat” din D.E.X.: ADEVĂRÁT, -Ă, adevărați, -te, adj. 1. (Adesea adverbial) Conform cu adevă­rul. ♦ De care nu se poate îndoi nimeni; netăgăduit, incontestabil, real. ◊ Loc adv. Cu adevărat = într-adevăr. 2. (În opoziție cu fals) Veritabil, autentic. 3. (Adesea ad­verbial; în opoziție cu greșit) Drept, just, corect.  Asadar, o femeie adevarata este o femeie care exista, o femeie reala. Nici kilogramele si nici coafura nu sunt cele care o fac adevarata. De ce trebuie sa cream atat de multe categorii si sa judecam femeile dupa silueta lor ori dupa alte criterii absurde? Sa luam exemplu campania „Real Beauty” de la Dove – aveti imaginea de prezentare mai jos:

EN I’m getting tired of hearing this expression: `a real woman`. Let me remind you what real means – it means someone exists and can be seen or touched. It has nothing to do with kilograms or with hairstyles. Why are we constantly trying to create categories and judge women after their silhouette or another absurd criteria? Let’s take the `Real Beauty` campaign by Dove as an example:

Dupa cum observati, toate femeile care apar in imagine, catalogate drept „adevarate”, sunt plinute. Cu toate acestea, poza nu este lipsita de retusuri, iar doamnele sunt in mod cert machiate substantial. Unde este adevarul atunci? Si cum sa se simta persoanele mai putin „norocoase”, care nu au depasit niciodata greutatea de 50 de kilograme? Nu pentru ca nu ar vrea, ci pentru ca nu pot! Asa e constitutia lor! Nu sunt de acord cu extremele – nu mi se pare sanatos si normal sa te infometezi doar pentru a te incadra intr-un standard setat probabil de o persoana care arata muuuult mai rau decat tine. Parerea mea este ca fiecare persoana ar trebui sa se bucure de ea insasi – daca avem la dispozitie Photoshop si ne cade bine sa il folosim, just do it! Daca ne simtim mai sigure pe noi cu machiaj, de ce sa nu purtam din cand in cand? Dar hai sa nu ne stricam sanatatea pentru a arata „trase printr-un inel”. Atat femeile slabe, cat si cele plinute au dreptul sa fie considerate sexy 😉

As you see, most women in the Dove example have a few extra-pounds. And the photo isn’t retouche-free at all! The girls are wearing make-up and airbrush was also used to correct the imperfections on their skin. What is real then? And how should skinny girls feel in this situation? Girls that don’t weigh more than 50 kg, but that’s not because they don’t want to, it’s because they can’t! This is the way they look!  I do not agree with extremes – starving isn’t healthy, especially if you starve to be liked by a person that looks waaaaay worse than you! My opinion is that every person should enjoy him- or herself. If we have Photoshop as a tool, why not use it? If we need make-up in order to feel comfy, why not wear it? I think every girl has the right to be considered sexy 😉

Imi place la nebunie stilul londonez! Stiti de ce? Pentru ca emana lejeritate. Si pentru ca, desi nu exista reguli, combinatiile sunt intotdeauna reusite, boeme, cosmopolite. Probabil pentru ca oamenii cred cu adevarat in ceea ce poarta si se imbraca astfel fiindca simt ca isi pot exprima personalitatea prin aceste tinute. Nu tin cont de ceea ce le impun catwalk-urile ori societatea, pur si simplu preiau elementele preferate de peste tot si se inspira din cadre care de care mai diverse! Veti intelege mai bine la ce ma refer dupa ce veti vizualiza selectia de poze pe care am pregatit-o 🙂
